James (Jim) T. Conroy Jr. has over thirty years of experience which includes military service, military/commercial manufacturing and testing, and laboratory testing/certification services. Currently, working as an Intertek Field Representative, Jim is an expert in all areas ISO 17020, 17025, and 17065. As the TIC QA Expert at Triconic, Jim can provide guidance and information for the Testing Inspection Certification (TIC) world.
Jim’s early day experience included: interpretation, application, and testing to both military and commercial standards; supervision and management of quality, testing, and engineering personnel; auditing and managing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audit programs (auditing qualifications include successful completion of the BSI Lead Auditor training); and providing training seminars for clients, associations, governmental organizations, and company units.
More recently, Jim worked for Intertek Testing Services in Cortland, New York. In his role at Intertek as the Corporate Director of Engineering and Quality, Jim led the development and implementation of a new quality system as well as managed an aggressive total quality management metric system that promotes continuous quality improvement.
Jim has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology from Edison State College and an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Staten Island College. In addition, Jim attended the Radioman Class A School while in the United States Navy and is a Vietnam veteran. With his wealth of education and experience, Jim is excited to bring his expertise to Triconic.
